You've heard of extroverts and introverts, now there's otroverts
Dialog
Psychiatrist Dr. Rami Kaminski describes this new type of personality, "otroverts," as people who struggle to fit in with any group, even among close friends. Unlike introverts or extroverts , otroverts stand apart from collective identities or traditions. While this sense of being outside looking in can bring discomfort, otroverts often think differently, showing creativity, independence, and inventive problem-solving.
Famous examples include Albert Einstein, Frida Kahlo, Franz Kafka, and Virginia Woolf. Otroverts may dislike team sports, group rituals, or fitting into society's expectations. Instead, they make deep connections one-on-one and often discover their nature early in life. Dr. Kaminski stresses that being an otrovert doesn't mean being antisocial; it simply reflects a unique relationship with groups rather than individuals.
