Daisy : I understand that everyone's bonus was reduced, but I don't get why the cut was so steep. 

Beau : The truth is, the company's bottom line was much lower than projected.

Daisy : So we all just have to suffer for it?

Beau : In a way, yes - we had to take a hit because sales fell short.

Daisy : That feels unfair. I don't even work in sales.

Beau : I know, but we all need to tighten our belts until things improve. 
            Even the people in upper management got smaller bonuses.
